Broadway Baby
When you walk on the stage and the lights hit you, you get this rush. You feel like a star and like nothing can go wrong. I feel safe when I'm on the stage, whether I'm acting, singing or dancing. I feel energized and ready for anything that is put in front of me. When you're on the stage and the lights are shining down on you, it feels like you're in the hot summer sun. You are supported by the other people on stage with you, and are expected to do the same. Just like in real life, the people who are around you support you when the going gets tough.
For me, the stage is a second home. I always feel at home and comfortable. It's great to have the audience's attention because then you know you are doing something right. The Audience is my battery: when they are enthused, I am too, and when they aren't, I'm not either. When you hear the audience cheering for you, it's like you just won an award and they are your fans. I live for the stage and I wouldn't be the same without it. It helps me stay strong. When I get tense, I can figure it out on the stage. All my World's a Stage.
